The Emergency Alert System gives the ability for authorized officials to broadcast alert messages to the public in the event of an emergency, such as severe weather, or civil emergency. Our implementation on our fleet operates with a master encoder that is monitored throughout each market, alongside secondaries for our stations. This chain allows us to have a backup in case of a failure on a local primary's side. We use a ME DASDEC and a Trilithic EASyPLUS for our masters. Each secondary also monitors the areas local primary.
